The highly esteemed and fiercely competitive Global Korea Scholarship for 2023 is now open for applications. Formerly known as the KGSP (Korean Government Scholarship Program), this is a fully-funded opportunity for individuals seeking to pursue master’s or Ph.D. degrees. This scholarship is generously sponsored by the Korean government and aims to select over 1300 international students from 155 countries who aspire to pursue graduate-level degrees or engage in research in Korea.
All the chosen students will be assigned to various universities in South Korea, aligning with the Korean Ministry of Education’s objectives to enhance international exchanges and competitiveness. Since 2016, more than 104,000 international students have benefitted from this Korean scholarship. There are no limitations on fields of study, and all candidates will have a wide range of options to further their careers. Applicants can choose between two methods to apply for the KGSP 2023: they can either submit their documents to the Korean Embassy in their home country or apply directly to a Korean domestic university.

Benefits of the Korean Government Scholarship 2023:
The fully-funded scholarship program in South Korea covers all expenses for the selected students, including the following:
- Round-trip Airfare
- Settlement Allowance: 200,000 KRW (provided once upon arrival in Korea)
- Monthly Allowance:
- Degree Program: 900,000 KRW per month
- Research Program: 1,500,000 KRW per month
Research Allowance:
- Liberal Arts and Social Science majors: 210,000 KRW per semester
- Natural Science and Engineering majors: 240,000 KRW per semester
- One-year Korean Language Training Fee: Fully covered

Eligibility Criteria for the Global Korea Scholarship 2023 in South Korea:
The scholarship is open to all international students, but it is not available for Korean citizens. Additionally, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- For Master’s Program Applicants: They should be under the age of 40 and hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- For Doctoral Program Applicants: They should be under the age of 40 and hold a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- For Research Program Applicants: They must have received an invitation from one of the partner universities.
- Applicants who have previously received a Korean scholarship are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates should be in good health.
